This site is completely independant from the America Hears hearing aid company. The tools here are intended to make it easier for users to program the aids they sell. They are great folks. You can find them at http://www.americahears.com. You can contact me at jl@pobox.com.
This is a tool to display all the values in an America Hears hearing aid configuration file. It also compares the programs in each aid and highlights those that differ. The programs in the left aid are not compared with the right aid. This is very much a work in progress. I know it works with my pair of 16X BTEs with the directional microphones. I have a hunch there are two variants of 16X settings, so it might not work with all of the 16X aids.
The main way this can assist with programming is to check if parameters you want the same in different programs are actually the same. Only about half of the parameters displayed can be directly changed with the America Hears program.
The site only collects the data file you submit. If you provide an email address it will only be used to contact you if I have some questions about how the file corresponds to values the America Hears program displays. This site does not use cookies, web beacons or anything else to track what you did.
The configuration file may contain some form of your name and your America Hears customer ID. I have no interest in this. My only interest in the file is what parameters exist in the file and the values.
None of the personal information will be shared with anyone for any reason.
